Working within the Projects Vice Presidency, the incumbent is responsible for integrated project planning. They oversee the development, consolidation, and maintenance of the project’s master schedule, while ensuring planning consistency across all work packages, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Co-Development

  • Participate in defining the overall project delivery strategy;
  • Develop and maintain the project master schedule covering all co-development and execution activities;
  • Define key milestones, interfaces, dependencies, and critical paths for the project;
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the progress of co-development activities;
  • Integrate and track procurement activities related to the contracting of various work packages;
  • Contribute to defining scheduling requirements applicable to future contracts and suppliers;
  • Identify schedule risks, critical constraints, and optimization opportunities;
  • Collaborate closely with integration teams to ensure consistency across the project delivery program.

Execution

  • Maintain and update the integrated project master schedule;
  • Consolidate schedules from the various work packages and suppliers;
  • Monitor critical paths and major project milestones;
  • Analyze variances, delays, and potential impacts on project schedules;
  • Develop mitigation and recovery scenarios when required;
  • Coordinate planning interfaces between the various project work packages;
  • Produce performance indicators and progress reports;
  • Support risk, change, and claims management processes by conducting the necessary schedule analyses;
  • Provide project leadership with a consolidated view of project performance and schedule-related risks;
  • Work closely with the Commercial Contracts team to support commercial discussions with suppliers and the Client.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in planning major infrastructure projects;
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing integrated schedules for complex projects involving multiple work packages and suppliers;
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 (or an equivalent scheduling tool);
  • Strong understanding of critical path analysis, schedule risk assessment, and recovery planning strategies;
  • Experience across the development, procurement, and execution phases of major projects.

  • Proven leadership and the ability to lead a planning team in a complex, multidisciplinary environment;
  • Ability to influence suppliers, contractors, and project teams to develop realistic, credible schedules aligned with project objectives;
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively present and defend analyses, recommendations, and schedule risk warnings to senior management;
  • Excellent analytical, synthesis, and communication skills.
