Working within the Projects Vice Presidency, the incumbent is responsible for the definition, procurement, integration, and delivery of the project's signature structures, including major bridges. The role is accountable for achieving safety, cost, schedule, quality, and performance objectives for the package under their responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Co-Development
- Participate in defining the scope, delivery strategy, and packaging structure for the Structures package;
- Define the technical, operational, contractual, and performance requirements for the future contract, including design, constructability, durability, and delivery requirements for major structures;
- Identify key risks, critical interfaces, and delivery constraints, including technical, environmental, geotechnical, construction methodology, and corridor interface risks;
- Contribute to the procurement strategy, procurement process, and evaluation of specialized prospective suppliers;
- Work closely with integration teams to ensure alignment between the package and overall project requirements;
- Lead the specialized studies required to prepare the package and validate structural solutions.
Execution
- Lead and oversee suppliers responsible for major structures and signature works;
- Ensure day-to-day management of the package with respect to safety, cost, schedule, quality, and performance;
- Resolve technical issues and coordinate interfaces with other project packages;
- Lead risk, change, and issue management processes for the package;
- Prepare and monitor performance reviews.
Qualifications and Experience
- Significant experience in the design and delivery of major structures, bridges, viaducts, or other complex structural works;
- Experience managing specialized suppliers and multidisciplinary teams;
- Experience interfacing with regulatory authorities, oversight agencies, or technical stakeholders, as required;
- Strong understanding of constructability, construction methodologies, and the sequencing of complex works;
- Strong capability in technical risk assessment and contractual issue management;
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to mobilize teams around ambitious performance and schedule objectives.
