SYSTRA Canada is part of the SYSTRA group, an international consulting and engineering group, a world leader in the design of transport infrastructures. SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line, increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway.

Context

Join SYSTRA Canada in shaping the future of Canada with this impressive ALTO high-speed rail project connecting Quebec City to Toronto, the largest infrastructure project in Canada in generations.

The ALTO high-speed rail project aims to improve the quality of life of our citizens, strengthen ties between communities, and stimulate economic growth.

Are you convinced that a more sustainable world is possible and that mobility is an integral part of thinking about the future of our planet? Come aboard with SYSTRA Canada and be part of the project that will revolutionize the railway industry in Canada!

Missions/Main Duties
  • Design and implement GIS solutions using ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise, transforming complex data into dynamic web-based visualizations that meet the needs of transportation and infrastructure projects.
  • Develop advanced web applications using Experience Builder, StoryMaps, Dashboards, and other ArcGIS tools to support stakeholder engagement and decision-making.
  • Integrate spatial and tabular data (e.g., CAD, GPS, text) through robust ETL processes using tools such as FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) and ArcGIS, convert data between formats (e.g., CAD to Shapefile), and maintain data accuracy while optimizing the performance of enterprise geodatabases in multi-user environments.
  • Extract, clean, validate, and structure geospatial data from various internal and external sources to support transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Automate GIS workflows and data processing tasks using Python (ArcPy), FME, and Power Automate to streamline repetitive processes, improve efficiency, and reduce project delivery timelines.
  • Process and analyze LiDAR datasets, generate Digital Terrain Models (DTM), and utilize orthophotos to fulfill mapping, spatial analysis, and visualization requirements.
  • Create thematic, analytical, and 3D maps by applying graphical representation standards and integrating dynamic layers for advanced spatial analyses tailored to stakeholder and project needs.
  • Integrate BIM (Building Information Modeling) data workflows, ensuring interoperability between GIS and BIM systems for enhanced 3D visualization and infrastructure coordination.
  • Promote knowledge sharing by mentoring colleagues, delivering GIS training sessions, and actively pursuing continuous professional development to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Communicate complex geospatial analyses to non-technical stakeholders, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations to support strategic decision-making in transportation projects.
