Missions/Main Duties
- Participate in the technical design of building projects: architectural plans, construction details, drawings for building permits, etc.
- Produce computer-aided drawings (CAD/BIM) using specialized software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
- Prepare and update plans according to project modifications and requirements.
- Conduct site surveys, compile field data, and produce site visit reports.
- Take part in technical coordination with engineers, architects, and other disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical).
- Participate in the drafting of technical specifications and the preparation of tender documents.
- Ensure that plans and documents comply with current building codes and regulations in Québec.
- Support project teams during various design and construction phases.
Profile/Skills
Education : DEC in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
Years of experience : 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role.
Technical competencies :
- Proficiency in drafting software: AutoCAD, Revit; experience with SketchUp or other 3D modeling tools is an asset.
- Good knowledge of applicable construction codes and regulations in Québec (CCQ, NBC, accessibility standards, etc.).
- Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and construction details.
- Competence in preparing specifications and technical documents.
- Skill in conducting precise technical surveys and preparing reports.
- Understanding of BIM and ability to work in a collaborative environment is an asset.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, both in French and in English*
